Dumbo in Disneyland Paris

Hello!

Popular as it is, Dumbo gets quite a bit of representation within the Disney parks.

I am going to keep to Disneyland Paris though as it is my home park, and the one I have been to the most.

The main representation Dumbo has in the park is the popular and well loved Fantasyland attraction, Dumbo and the Flying Elephants.

I included this attraction in one of my DLP at 25 posts earlier this year if you want to go back and have a look, but it is one attraction that is available in every Disney park. Fortunately for those of you who frequent Walt Disney World, thanks to New Fantasyland, you now have the possibility of choosing between two versions of the ride!

I love this attraction, not just for the experience of being able to see the whole of Disneyland Paris from a considerable height, but because it is one that summarises my first ever trip to Disneyland Paris. My sister and I ended up riding it a lot and it made me realise how little I watch the film.

Another attraction based on Dumbo is Casey Jr: Le Petit Train du Cirque

In Disneyland Paris, this attraction combines with Le Pays de Contes de Fées to create the Storybook Land area of Fantasyland. It circles that specific attraction so when you are riding in the carriages of Casey Jr, you can look out over the different scenes. The nice thing about the attraction is that it never seems too busy and it is fun even for people like myself who are not overly fond of rollercoasters.

Additionally, back in the days when we had the Wonderful World of Disney Parade and Dancin’ A Catchy Rhythm as our anthem, Casey Jr was one of our parade floats

When it was time for this particular parade to go into retirement, the Casey Jr float, however, received transformation after transformation, being decked out in whatever decoration necessary for a particular year or season.

I can’t think of anywhere else he is represented so that will be that.
